Run, Scott, run!!!

Since I was great with child, I could not sign-up to run the St. George Half-Marathon this year, so what did I do, I coerced Scott into signing-up ;)
I will admit I was a little surprised he actually took me up on it, I printed out a schedule for him and he did his best to stick to it.  He punched out some pretty good runs on the treadmill, the tiny t.v. was quite the motivator!
I got the time off so we could all go down to the condo and watch Scott run his first half, Brent, Emily & Ollie came down and Emily ran the race as well.  We got a good surprise the Monday before the race, Scott got a call from Washington County requesting an interview to be on the Friday before the race--read AWESOME, we were already planning the trip so it was perfect!
So we drove down, Scott had his interview, which he felt went well, we grabbed his and Emily's race packets and then after grabbing dinner at Brick Oven we had a chill night chatting before we put the runners to bed.  I am not sure Scott slept at all, but early the next morning we got up and went down to the start.  It was a chilly morning, but no rain and it was clear.  Scott and Emily lined-up and took off together when the shot fired.  I went back to get the boys up and dressed to meet Scott at the finish line, Brent was an awesome support for them along the route.
The boys and I made it back to the finish and we met-up with Brent and Ollie to cheer our runners through the chute.
I am so proud of Scott for accomplishing this huge feat!  He did awesome and ran the whole way!  He said he now understands the stickers on the back of people's cars, whereas before he would make fun of them ;)  He might even do it again ;)
