I don't know how doctors/residents/interns, etc. do this...I have been awake for ~37 hours: yesterday I got up at 8:30, I ran a 5-mile route pushing Garrett in the stroller with Jorden riding his bike beside me (where is Cam you ask, he was still asleep.) We returned to find our Cam still in bed. I showered and got ready, meaning to run some errands, when in the back of my mind I had an alarming thought--I had signed-up to work extra that night (what was I thinking?!), and while we have been at slow at work I had not received a call from work telling me they didn't need me. Crap, well...I kept waiting for that phone call, but it never came, I had to go to work. Arrangements were made for the kids and off I went. Work went well, I got home and faced the dilemma of whether or not I stay up until we meet to go to Cub Scout Day Camp or go to sleep for an hour and a half. I opted to stay up, Facebook and blogging are excellent distractions. I woke Jorden up at 5:45 to get ready, we were meeting at the church at 6:15. We met the rest of the boys and leaders and took off for Camp Keisel. It was a fun day, I did have a Dr. Pepper to help me out, the bee-bee guns, archery and canoeing were my favorite, I got sun-burned and we made it home only to be faced with the need to clear the basement rooms for carpet installation tomorrow. AHHHHHHH! I was so tired at this point, eating dinner helped and Erin, Shayne and their girls came over to help us move stuff around--bless them, we could not have done it without them. After they left, I took Max for a walk around the block and here I sit, I am retarded, I know, my mind is numb right now. So upon further scrutiny I have decided I never want to be a doctor, I can't handle the hours--12.5 in a day are enough for me, thank you very much. But I must say, think twice when you go in to see a doctor and wonder for just a moment if he/she is on hour 36+...
