Happy Holidays

We went to Portland for Thanksgiving and spent 11 hours in the car to get there and 10 hours and 45 minutes getting back...it was worth it though, although I probably had a mental breakdown prior to going up there, I was stressed out about everthing at home.

That all kind of went away when we "landed" a few days at the Beach House and some laid back days with the in-laws, a major purchase of bunk beds and matching dresser and well the breakdown was gone. ha ha ha

The kids had tons of fun with grandma and bampa, they played and read books and just ate up the attention they got from them that they must not normally get. oooops
So we were all reluctant to leave, but we had to come back to real life someday, the in-laws joked about us being able to stay but only if we got jobs to support our mooching habits up there. :)

REAL LIFE: what is that really?

Happy Halloween

Halloween does not start until night time, according to Jorden, he knows all...so it wasn't until after we ate our witches hair (aka spaghetti) that we got the boys dressed up and sent them out with Dad to beg for candy from neighbors and friends, even though we have a cache load at our house--still.
But, gosh-darn-it, those kids were cute and came back very excited about the candy and two quarters that people gave them.

Oh yeah and we found out today that our littlest 'skeleton' is another BOY, so we will have fun with a house full of testoterone, I did tell Scott, that of course this means we have to have another baby and it will of course be a girl :)
I haven't figured out how to change a TIF file to a JPEG, so I unfortunately can't show you our cute ultrasound but it is cute, take my word for it.

My day from Wednesday

I have to vent. My day started before I was ready, there was a terrific hail storm, complete with lightening and thunder and I couldn't fall back to sleep in the wee hours of something...so when I heard Cameron in his crib cooing for "mommie" I didn't want to get up. You see it was one of those mornings when it is overcast and I could have slept in because the blasted sun was not (for once) greeting me from my East-facing window. So I dragged myself out of bed and poured cereal for the little guy--wheaties being the box of choice and I promptly tried to go back to my bed. Didn't work. I tried to be good, got my daily exercise in and then proceeded to eat a "few" bowls of delicious Fruity Cheerios (they really are delicious, don't give in to the temptation if you want a box to last more than a day). After that I decided to make Jorden take a bath, it is picture day after all, and figuring it would be a quick in & out affair, I did not throw Cam in with him......But, as I was putting dishes in the dishwasher I hear Jorden call out from the tub, "Mom, Cam is okay, he climbed in the tub by himself, but he is okay, but his new shirt is all wet and his pants, so come in here, NOW....mom?" ( I was at this point going to get my camera because I knew it would be funny) And well Cam was sitting in the tub, all dressed having a blast.

My day was same ol, same ol, after that until I neglected to put a permanent, red sharpie marker away--I caught Cameron 'red-handed', literally... He had colored his forehead, neck, ear, hands, couch, chair, suitcase, Car's cars, balloon, my project for Saturday, he was undoubtedly trying to find something else to leave his "mark" when I found him...I really tried to stay calm, again grabbing my camera (but this time not thinking it was funny, but hopefully someday it will be)
But the day has not been my favorite, it can't all be roses and warm chocolate chip cookies, although I have to admit the halloween candy HAS been opened and enjoyed, a lot....darn that emotional eating habit... ;)

Feeling sloooow

I feel like I am moving at a tortoise's pace...although I did see a giant tortoise moving quite quickly toward an unknown goal--which turned out to be a "lucky" lady tortoise, so I am not up about like the anxious man tortoise. I just can't make my morning go any faster, where is the motivation I ask you?
The kids are enjoying boomerang and I am waiting for the watering to be done outside. I am still sitting comfortably in my jammies and life is, well great...how many people get to work like this?!

wahooo

We are back from a full weekend, first we spent the evening catching up with friends and letting our kids run wild...it was fabulous fun. Saturday we entered our two bugs in the Layton 'No Show' bug event--Scott was absolutely giddy. We came home, took a nap and then headed to Provo for a family shin dig and after I went to work for a '2nd half extra' everyone else stayed up till 1 or 3 in the am chatting. Sunday we had Hailey's baby blessing and then we went to Andrea's mom's baptism, Sister Boyd's viewing and after all of that had pizza at mom & dad's house, cake for the boys and then finally headed home at about 9:30. Pretty full weekend, but it was so fun. Today we have an appointment for Cam and then Brent & Emily are coming up. Always exciting at our house!
