Cameron's "pack-back"

Hey, so I thought you would all get a kick out of our little Cameron's 'pack-back' as he calls it. I have been trying desperately to get him excited about the potty...we have a deal that if he poops in the potty we will go to the zoo and he can ride the zebra on the new carousel. He asks everyday if he can go to the zoo...I am hoping one day it will click and the poop will go into the potty not his diaper. It sucks changing big boy diapers...

So he was sitting on the potty seat and told me to look at his new 'pack-back' and then promptly asked if he could go to 1st grade now. It was very cute.

Incidentally we haven't made it to the zoo yet. The offer still stands though.

I said Hello, you said good-bye...doo doo do dooooo

The other night, I got back from somewhere and Scott said he thought he saw Garrett waving.

Scott's latest

Scott must be feeling the change in the weather, because he has been working hard to finish the projects he slated for himself. It must be the Home Depot commercial where the husband is standing in a yard full of incomplete projects, we got a hearty laugh from that one.
*So he finished the fence on the west side of our yard going back to the property line.
*He spruced up the shed by adding batten to help strengthen the warped plywood, and repainting. It looks so good!
before: after:
*He got the Travelall fixed, it runs like a beaut'...thanks to Mike!
*He perfected the Avocado Swiss burger that we have been enjoying all summer, mmmm, love bbq!
*He was able to fix the sprinklers...thanks Jeff!
*He fixed the fence on the East side of the yard...thanks again Jeff!!
*He put together the activity gym for Garrett.
*He 'really' finished the playground by putting in a floor over where a sandbox would have been and completing a window.
It has been fun and Home Depot will be wondering why the dip in sales has occured now that I confiscated the Home Depot card, ha ha ha! ;)

It has been a fun summer and has gone by way too fast! Now we move indoors....oh man.

Jordenisms--August

As we were reading our nighttime story, "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" by Dr. Seuss, we got to the part in the story where the 'creature'/'animal' has eleven fingers...
Jorden said, "If I had a million fingers I could hold all the toys in the world!"

Jorden: "It is just our happy, neighborhood Cameron."

In reference to the recently purchased and mucho-anticipated alarm clock...
Jorden: "It is just a pile of bolts."
[It didn't go off Sunday morning, or as hypothesized, we think he is hitting the snooze button in his sleep.]

Cameronisms--August

Cameron: "I need a new finger, this one is broken, I need a new one, let's go get a new one, this finger is red and I need a new one..."
Me: "Where can I get one?"
Cameron: "At 'O' (aka Target, think the bullseye trademark), we can get one at Target mom, let's go."

Cameron: "I soccered the ball." [he was outside kicking the little soccer ball around]

We were at Target (where else) and there is a Toys-R-Us in the same parking lot--you have to know Cam thinks the toy section in Target is Toys-R-Us, so on our way to the car Cam looks over...
Cameron: "Look there is another 'O'!"

In the foyer at church there was a poster announcing a youth activity, it was 'olympic' themed and therefore had the Olympic rings on it. Now Cameron is obsessed with cars, big surprise he is his father's son, so he is well aware of what the Audi symbol looks like so when he saw the poster...
Cameron: "Audi, Dad, look an Audi." (loud enough for everyone to hear)

Cameron: "Where is Jorden?"
Me: "He is at school."
Cameron: "Let's go get him again."

Saturday night Scott and boys were outside, Cameron was stinky and so not wanting to imbed the house with Cam's odiferousness, he took a diaper outside to change him. He laid him on the driveway so he wouldn't be laying on the sticky grass (long story)... Cameron: "Daddy I need to go to 'O' and get a new head." Scott: "A new head?" Cameron: "Yeah, a green head, I want a green head." [apparently the Target obsession is huge and we go there for everything else, why not a green head?]
