Sorry about the twosie...

I worked last night, which means almost anything goes...well when Garrett told me the poop was coming, we headed upstairs to get him a "new bum" he wasn't stinky yet and so when he headed for the bathroom instead of his room and said he wanted to sit on the potty, I thought why not. Stripped of the lower layers Garrett climbed up onto his potty seat and proceeded to climb on and off and running in and out of the bathroom. I stood there for a minute and then headed to the front room to check out the boy's Lego city creation taking up residence in front of the big picture window. When I walked back down the hall a couple of minutes later I found Garrett putting his potty seat back on the throne and he said he wanted to sit down again, he stood up on his step stool and that is when I saw the little trail of yellow puddles, I thought, "great, that is what I get for leaving him naked." But then I realized he probably was sitting on the potty when the aforementioned puddles happened and made a leap beyond the desired destination. I was surprised and excited at the 'accident' that could lead to more productive sessions on his potty. THEN I noted the little surprise in the bottom of the hole, immediately assuming Cameron didn't flush I almost disregarded the 'left-over', but in checking Garrett's tiny bum there was indeed a little (forgive me) brown eye looking back at me and the excitement escalated from there. Little Garrett probably didn't even realize what happened, and wondered why I was so stinking excited...So I am sharing with all our happy moment of the day!

P.S. here are pics of the Lego city...they are pretty cool, they even re-engineered the hospital to accommodate a nursery for the Lego babies that nurse mommy takes care of :)

St George Half Marathon

I freaking did it, running a half marathon has been on my 'bucket list' for a long time with an even longer list of reasons not to...well this last Saturday I crossed that "to-do" off my list!!! Scott and I went down to St. George and got to hang out in my parent's condo for a couple days and then bright and early Saturday I went and met up with my friends and we ran the race! Minutes before the race started I realized my ipod had inadvertently been left on and it was totally dead, but the pounding of my feet on the course carried me through and I made it across the finish line having run the entire thing!
My time was better than I thought-- 2:16:33.9 (I averaged a 10:28/min. mile!)
Scott was there to cheer me on, take pictures of us and hold our stuff! ;)

My calves are still killing me, so give me a day or two before I decide if I want to do this again ;)
